What the Launch of GigaStar’s Secondary Market Really Means

If you’ve been following GigaStar, you already understand the basics:
Primary market = where individuals can invest in Creator offerings (1).
Secondary market = where Investors may trade with each other later (2).
But the launch of GigaStar’s secondary market (GigaStar Trading) is more than just a feature update.
It’s a structural milestone. It rounds out the Investor ecosystem. It expands flexibility.
And it positions GigaStar squarely inside one of the fastest-growing sectors in global media: the Creator Economy. Let’s break down what this really means.
(1) Investment offerings are speculative, illiquid, and involve a high degree of risk, including the risk of loss of your entire investment. Past performance is not a guarantee of future results.
(2) There is no guarantee of an active or liquid secondary market, and investments are subject to market risk and will fluctuate in value. Investors may not be able to find a buyer, or the sale price could be much lower than the amount invested.
The Creator Economy Is No Longer a Niche
YouTube remains the most mature, monetizable, and structurally investable platform in that ecosystem. (Source: MarketingDrive) Creators are no longer hobbyists.
Many are media businesses and entrepreneurs (and we believe they should be treated as such).
They generate recurring YouTube advertising revenue.
They build loyal audiences. They operate with relatively predictable monetization frameworks.
For years, fans could watch. Brands could sponsor. Platforms could profit.
But ordinary Investors had limited structural ways to participate.
GigaStar changed that with GigaStar Market - the primary market.
Now, GigaStar Trading - the secondary market - completes the picture.
First Came the Primary Market
GigaStar Market, the primary market, is where a Creator launches their original offering. Investors purchase Channel Revenue Tokens (CRTs), which represent a share of a Creator’s potential future YouTube AdSense revenue, subject to the terms of the offering(1).
This is the “box office” moment.
Capital is raised for the Creator in a community round.
Investors gain exposure to a Creator’s YouTube channel revenue.
The relationship begins.
(1) Investment offerings are speculative, illiquid, and involve a high degree of risk, including the risk of loss of your entire investment. Past performance is not a guarantee of future results.
Investors must hold their CRTs at least 12 months under Regulation Crowdfunding rules — and then what? Where can they trade them? That’s where the secondary market comes in.
The Secondary Market Adds Optionality
The secondary market is designed to allow eligible Investors, after the required 12-month holding period, to trade CRTs with other Investors on GigaStar’s SEC-registered Digital Alternative Trading System (ATS), if there is an active secondary market.
This does not change:
- A Creator’s agreement
- A Creator’s YouTube payouts
- The revenue-share structure
The platform facilitates trade between Investors and market participants.
But it introduces something unexpected: optionality.
Investors may:
- Adjust their portfolio exposure to the Creator economy
- Enter offerings after the primary raise (1)
- Exit positions if there is an available buyer (2)
A trading venue for these securities potentially changes the ecosystem from static to dynamic.
- (1) Investment offerings are speculative, illiquid, and involve a high degree of risk, including the risk of loss of your entire investment. Past performance is not a guarantee of future results.*
(2)There is no guarantee of an active or liquid secondary market, and investments are subject to market risk and will fluctuate in value. Investors may not be able to find a buyer, or the sale price could be much lower than the amount invested.
An Evolving GigaStar Investor Ecosystem
Until now, Creator investing has generally remained in the primary market.
With the launch of GigaStar Trading, broader access to the Creator Economy is introduced through an evolving secondary investing and trading ecosystem.
GigaStar Market (Primary Market) → Capital formation for Creators
GigaStar Trading (Secondary Market)
→ Potential price discovery
→ Portfolio performance can be tracked
→ Opportunity for continued Investor participation
Together, they create a dynamic marketplace.

Why This Matters in a Growing Market
The Creator Economy is structurally expanding. Advertising dollars continue shifting toward digital. Audiences increasingly follow individuals over institutions. Creators operate as recurring revenue businesses.
As this Creator Economy asset class matures, investment infrastructure matters. A primary market allows capital formation. A secondary market supports ecosystem continuity.
In traditional finance, this pairing is foundational. In Creator investing, it’s new.
What This Means for Investors
You may have more flexibility after your required holding period. You may gain access to CRTs beyond the initial raise. You may participate in a broader, structured Creator capital market.
There is still risk. There is still no guarantee of liquidity. There is still potential loss.
But the framework is evolving.
What This Means for Creators
- Nothing operational changes.
- Your AdSense generation process remains the same.
- Your YouTube reporting remains the same.
- Your agreement with YouTube is not impacted.
But your Investors now operate inside a more complete capital ecosystem that includes a secondary market platform. That can matter over time.
The Bigger Picture
GigaStar brings Creators and Investors together… through a capital markets infrastructure for the Creator Economy.
Primary offerings were step one. The secondary market is step two.
Together, they move Creator investing closer to what Investors may expect in a mature marketplace.
